The country of Turkmenistan is located in the continent of Asia. Its capital is Ashgabat. It covers nearly 488 thousand square kilometers. The population of the country is about 5.9 million. Unfortunately, 30% of its people live below the national poverty level. It has a Christian population of 9%.
